I read an interested blog by Duane Jackson the founder of Kashflow.co.uk the other day that really got me thinking about whether we sometimes try to achieve too much on our websites

I think he has a good point and I have certainly been guilty of trying to achieve too many different objectives with some of our websites,
However this got me thinking with so many online channels now available to us perhaps we ought to be more focussed on setting specific objectives for each channel – this certainly represents a more focussed approach and helps you make sense of the many channels
Here are some ideas of how this might work for you
Website – use as a prospecting tool for attracting new customers
Blog – use as a tool to communicate product and service information to existing customers
Twitter – use as a tool to keep in touch with influencers
LinkedIn – use as a tool to demonstrate you are an opinion leader in your market place
YouTube – use as a customer service tool to provide help and advice
eNewsletters – similar to your blog but use for interested prospects as well
Mobile App – use to enhance your product offering by providing some kind of added value service
Google presentations – use as a silent salesperson for converting prospects into customers
Thanks Duane you certainly got me thinking on a great way to get more from the multiple channels now available
