Despite being only 4 years old Magento was confirmed as the market leader for ecommerce websites in a recent survey by Alexa of the top 1 million sites
A couple of years back the team at bNetCentric decided to stop developing our own ecommerce systems and focus on becoming Magento experts.
2 years and 500 sites later we know this was the right decision and it is good to see that the market agrees with us, the more people that use the platform the more extension and designs will become available to help us build better websites for lower budgets
We now have our own bespoke install of Magento and quite a few of our own extensions for different applications – why not take a look at what we can offer by visiting our Magento ecommerce website standard packages page
There is no doubt that web video is now key for both SEO and website content so an easy way to create video is so important – we used to be big fans of pixetell.com before it got taken over by brainshark and have been looking for another simple tool ever since
Well we think we have found another great FREE screen capture tool – just check out http://www.screencast-o-matic.com
This is ideal for recoding what is happening on your screen with an accompanying narrative to create videos for software demos, PowerPoint presentations or website demos

Just been reading some very interesting statistics on mobile usage trends compiled by Flurry Analytics – thought you might be interested to learn more about why mobile is becoming such an important channel
We recently presented the afternoon session at the eBusiness Club and Nottingham Trent University Mobile marketing Conference and as part of the conference we demonstrated how easy it is to create a podcast from your mobile – as part of this we also wanted to try and harness social media to get our podcast “Mobile podcasting for small businesses” to the top of Google. Been out on the road this week exhibiting at trade shows and speaking at a marketing conference. As usual when out and about my iPad has been indispensable for helping me keep in touch and keep working however it has also become a great sales presentation tool thanks to my new iPad stand
I purchased a really useful stand http://www.ipadstand.co.uk/news/tag/i360-stand which allows me to position the iPad at any angle. It also looked great and even had people coming to our stand to ask questions about it
This has given me loads of ideas on how to use my iPad as a sales tool
1. Use to display a presentation on auto run – great for shows
2. Use to give a presentation to a client – holds at the perfect angle
3. Use to stream media or view training videos
4. Use for meetings – loads of apps for web meetings
5. Use for point of sale – you can build a searchable app to display your product range or even use an ecommerce website
There is now also a lockable version that can be bolted to a desk so could even be used in a retail environment
